OptiGrill for optimal cooking!

Meet OptiGrill, our ultimate innovation. Its "Automatic Sensor Cooking" technology immediately detects the number of items placed on the grill and their thickness, and adjusts the temperature and cooking time automatically.  An indicator light allows you to monitor your cooking directly: Blue then green at the start of cooking, then yellow when the food is rare, orange when it is medium and red if you like your food well-done.

Frequent questions
A Class I appliance must be earthed (and has only one insulation layer). A Class II appliance does not necessarily have to be earthed because it has two distinct and independent insulation layers.?
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled. Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
You can buy them from the web site: www.accessories.home-and-cook.com
The temperature remains approximatly at 250°C.
Always keep the drip tray filled with water (depending the model). This allows any running off juices and fat to dissipate in the water thereby preventing smoking and flare-ups. You will see some smoke during the first use. This is normal and will not continue for long. If you continue to see smoke, be sure the grill plate has been cleaned properly.
No, you should never use foil on the product
Yes. It can be used safely inside the house because the water tray ensures that there is virtually no smoke produced even when cooking fatty foods. Also, the handles and stand are made from thermoplastic so the dinner table is an ideal place to use it.
The water you add for the cooking process will create a cool zone, below the cooking surface, into which all the grease will fall and be kept, preventing it from burning on a hot surface and causing fumes or flare-ups.
Only use wooden or nylon utensils. Metal utensils can damage the non-stick coating on the contact grill.
No as the cooking sensors are not active in Manual Mode.
No. Once the first batch has finished open the grill fully and remove the food. Close the grill and press OK. You do not have to switch off the grill first. When the lights flash again, choose the mode that you want. The preheating phase should be a lot quicker than the first time as the plates will already be hot. When the Optigrill beeps to say it is ready, open the grill again and put the second batch of food on to the plates and continue as normal.

If you leave the appliance open between 2 cooking cycles it will turn to safety mode and will have to be reset. To ensure the best cooking results, you should not open the appliance for more than 1 minute during cooking cycles. RESET by unplugging it for 2-3 minutes and restart full cooking cycle.
If your food is under 4 mm thick, it is too thin (like bacon slices), it may not be detected. This is not a problem simply press the OK key for confirmation for cooking to start.
The appliance has not been fully opened when placing the food on the grill plates before cooking. Solutions : To allow the appliance to detect the start of the cooking cycle, the appliance must be completely opened before each cooking cycle. If not, the cooking cycle will not start. Completely open the grill then close it and press OK.
The appliance needs to be repaired.
You are cooking in Manual Mode.  You must monitor and check the food yourself throughout cooking. Or, select one of the other cooking modes and then OK to start a specific cooking cycle
The product can be fully dismantled for easy cleaning. Grid, cooking plate and water tank can be cleaned in the dishwasher. The body of the grill should be wiped down after each use. Never immerse in water. After use, switch off and unplug your BBQ, wait until it has completely cooled down before cleaning. Grids, handle and base can be wiped with a sponge and washing-up liquid. The heating element is not to be cleaned. If it is really dirty, wait until it has cooled down and wipe with a dry cloth.
