Frequent questions
Untreated tap water:
Your appliance has been designed to use untreated tap water.
If your water is very hard, mix 50% untreated tap water and 50% distilled water.

Types of water not to use:
Heat concentrates the elements contained in water during evaporation. The types of water listed below may contain organic waste, mineral or chemical elements that can cause spitting, brown staining or premature wear of the appliance:
- water from clothes dryers
- scented or softened water
- water from refrigerators, batteries, air conditioners
- rain water
- boiled, filtered or bottled water

In order to ensure the best performance from your iron, these types of water should not be used for ironing.
The adjustable suction allows you to choose between 3 modes: Steam (only) for delicate fabrics (silk, nylon, polyester), Steam + gentle suction for synthetic fabrics (acrylic, some cottons) and Steam + turbo suction for maximum suction and fast crease removal on thick cottons, linen or denim.
AeroSteam has been designed for vertical use without support, eliminating the need for an ironing board. As a result, horizontal use is not part of the product design and could lead to water leaks, compromising results.
Yes, the AeroSteam steamer is ideal for all garments, even the most delicate. The single-temperature heating soleplate (140°C) and the 3 modes of use make it suitable for all ironable fabrics.
The AeroSteam steamer has a fast heat-up time of just 30 seconds, which is ideal for busy mornings or for a flawless look in no time.
If the tank is empty, AeroSteam will no longer generate steam. This will not damage the appliance, but you will still be able to iron without steam. So, the ironing performance will be much less satisfactory.
It is recommended to use tap water, as the appliance's internal components are designed to work with hard water. Prolonged use of demineralised water could affect performances.
No maintenance required - no descaling needed. Our hard water endurance tests showed that over a 5-year period there was no scaling leading to a loss of performance. Based on the usage scenario: 6min/session (2 shirts) /5 days/50 weeks i.e. 125h over 5 years.

AeroSteam does not replace an iron, but complements it. In fact, their use is different: an iron is ideal for long sessions when you are ironing a pile of clothes. AeroSteam, on the other hand, is a quick solution for ironing a few items of clothing, when you are in a hurry.
Like all steamers, AeroSteam is equipped with a boiler that transforms water into steam. The big difference with AeroSteam is that it has a motor (which explains the noise) that sucks up the steam and presses the fabric against the heated soleplate. The slider button lets you choose the power of the motor, and therefore the level of suction and noise.
AeroSteam uses Calor's brand new patented Optiflow technology, which combines steam (like all our other steamers) and suction. The suction function ensures that the fabric is pressed firmly against the heated soleplate, making ironing quick, easy and effective.
AeroSteam is very easy to use:
  • No complicated settings to set-up, just 3 operating modes (Steam/ Steam + gentle suction / Steam + turbo suction).
  • Heats up in just 30 seconds.
  • No need for an ironing board or a hook as you can simply hold your garment on a hanger.
  • It has a removable 100ml water chamber (easy to fill). You can iron up to 3 shirts or 4 T-shirts in a single session.
  • Your clothes are dry and ready to wear immediately after ironing, thanks to our heated soleplate technology that reduces condensation.
This is a relatively heavy iron. However, its advanced technology allows it to achieve results that are incomparable with other models. For example, instead of ironing a shirt in 5 minutes, with AeroSteam you can do it in less than 3 minutes, reducing the time you need to use the appliance.
The grid prevents larger pellets from being sucked up, while finer particles are released into the air (air flow under the product).
140°C. A resistor at the back of the soleplate transforms water from its liquid state into steam. Thanks to its direct connection to the soleplate, this resistor maintains a temperature of 140°C. This heat is ideal for ironing all types of ironable fabric, whether delicate or thick.
The triangular shape of AeroSteam reproduces the ‘precision tip’ of irons with a ‘snowplough’ effect. When the user slides AeroSteam up and down, the point of the triangle improves ironing efficiency.
